Rachel Gilmour is an artist from San Antonio who aims to inspire, captivate, and challenge viewers of her work. She hopes the narrative behind her art encourages society to open up their eyes, ears, and mouths for our fellow humans. The series “Hear the Cries” taps into familiar symbolism to reconvey the state of inequality, as our friends, family, and neighbors experience seeping injustice. This series is dedicated to Black Lives Matter, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, and to the families separated at the border.
